Description
The Diablada is arguably the best known and most spectacular of Bolivia's many dances, and symbolises the struggle between good and evil. It is most associated with the famous Oruro Carnival, but can also be seen at many other major festivals, such as the Gran Poder festival in La Paz, which was added to UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2019. These female devil characters are called China Supay.
