Description:

Peru's Cordillera Blanca is the world's highest tropical mountain range and one of the most beautiful. Turquoise glacial lakes are a feature, and being within the tropics means the area has a unique flora, including these beautiful Polylepis trees. A section of the range is protected as the Huascaran National Park.
